RE: hot breaker box

Just a note, you might also be having a low voltage problem. If the area you are pluged into is below 104 Volts it could very well run the amperage up and cause the breaker to trip. Might want to check that side of life out also. Bill

RE: Have a question....please look:

First thing I'd do is get the duct tape off the thrown, and agree with outdoorsmand, you can go to lowes and get that whit textured stuff (a plastic product)and glue it up. I would also wait to see how the existing product works. You might find it works good enough for now. JM2Cents Bill

Not all units run off the battery. My CO and Fire are self contained with AA Batteries. Have you checked yours. Other wise at be doing wild guesses. Like are your sure the refrigerator light is going off when the door is closed, any of the storage compartment lights left on kind of thing. Bill

RE: Dry Ice Questions

If you call your dry ice provider, I will want to know several things. The weight of product you wish to keep frozen, and the number of days. He will most likely sugguest one of those white foam typ coolers that are cheap. It should NOT be sealed air tight. As the dry ice evaportates, it can develope some pretty good pressures. Good Luck and happy camping. Bill

RE: USB Drive Letter Assignment

I use a USB hub, and the computer is loaded with Card readers and what have you. Every time I put in flash drive, it was hit and miss trying to find it. I know name each flash drive, i.e. Back Up Pictures, Exell Files or what ever I use drive for. Makes it a lot easyer when useing windows explore to find out what the computer has decided name it. RE: Croton-on-Hudson,best route?

I used to live in Ossining, and last year took my Class "A" to Croton Point for weekend, that bridge Spinners is talking about will but you heart in mouth. It's at the Peekskill area of RT 9 North of the Croton Point. The T-Z is the best route, what you save in tolls going over the Bear Mt. Bridge you will spend in gas. Thre is also a section just after going of Bear Mt. Bridge thats very winding and has a shear drop and a few hair pin turns that will give you white knuckles for sure. I used to enjoy riding my MC over those roads twenty years ago. Good Luck and happy camping. Bill.

RE: Air bag question ?

No, in reality you will likely need more truck. Air bags do nothing to increase the manufacturers GVWR all air bags will do it attempt to level the truck out when it is loaded heavy. My answer is in respone to your innuendo that his truck was not capable of pulling the trail since you referred to GVWR. Look under Capabilities.

RE: Unable to completely drain fresh water tank

I just raise up the opposite side, drive the wheels up on a couple of 2 by's to get to lean the way you want. JM2Cents Bill

RE: Air bag question ?

You'll have plenty of truck, unless that 34' trailer weighs more then 24,000. Good luck and happy camping. Bill As Per Ford: When properly equipped, it can pull an astounding 24,500 lbs!

RE: Extension Cord for MH

20 Amp circuits are 12 Ga. and under 50ft. Get the shorts cord that will work, and min of 12 ga. You can take with you when you leave. Good Luck and happy camping. Also check the recepticale, you will often find it is a 15 amp receptical on a 20 amp circuit. If it gets warm, it's overloaded. JM2Cents Bill

RE: Refrigerator requirements

I'll go along with JFG, but with a few comments. The size of the unit is mostly dictated by the size of the RV. The smaller units tend to have small Refers. Kind of hard to put a two door side by side in 16' TT and still have a stand alone shower. The manufactures tend to size the Refers to the number of people the RV can sleep, then there is the overall size of the unit factor. Like a 34" Class "A" can sleep 4 but you will find a walk in refrigerator LOL, a little over stated but the more luxury in a coach the general rule is the larger and more features in the refer. My biggest requirement being that it keeps the beer cold and be able to hold at least two six packs at a time. The milk and eggs are the wife's problem.

RE: G-mail vs. Yahoo Mail

I juse yahoo and gmail, along with another program called inbox.com, all are free and all have advantages and disadvantages. Gmail - good spam filter, good storage, pain in the neck when getting rid of old mail, tons of deletting from all the little storage areas. Yahoo, a little harder to get around haven't gotten much spam. But it has a low volume use for me. Used for bussness. Inbox.com - good storage compartmarts, great reminder section where it will send you and email to remind you. Spam filter can be set to only allow people in your address get thru, so spam can be thing of the past. Pick one, pick several. enjoy. Good Luck Bill

RE: Fresh Water Tank

It's most likely on the other side of the wall where the fill is. Could be under the rear bed, built into the back wall. In motor homes there generaly in the living space to keep them from freezing, Bill

RE: Can a tire go flat just for spite ?

Just a little full for thought, I know a few times, I have had leaks where left parked of a few days it would go flat, then fill it up and have it go for a few weeks, then flat again. Turned out to be a small nail, when parked if on the bottom, wouldn't leak. For the next few months I had to make sure I was parked with the nail side down. Good luck Bill

RE: Using computer on the road

Find a locale Star Bucks and put on a bussness suit, pay the 2.50 for a cup of the worst coffe you could ever want, and play the uppie roll for a few hours and use there wireless. LOL>... Accualy I just play hit and miss. McDonnald parking lots, where ever I can find a none secure signal. I was even in a Wally World parking lot. and one to locale coffe shops had Wire Less. That was in the Boones in PA last year. Good luck and happy Wi Finding. Bill

RE: Where can we go ? Any suggestions ?

Why not just CC Hop. Alantic city, two days. Cape May, both in NJ. Take the ferry accross the Deleware. Then head west in PA. Unless you all bent on going swiming. There are lots of places to visit for a day or so. Just so you know I'm not a planner. I enjoy saying lets go to XXXXX and will often just spend one or two nights in any given spot going and coming back. There is just two much to do and see and one location just doesn't seem to cut it. RE: Olevia TV

Does anyone ever read the manuals that come with anything any more? I found some really incredible stuff in the ones I have. Mind if I ask, is your VCR still flashing 12:00? Manuals are for the geek squad, you know, the mechanically challenged. LOL Like a sign on side of a locale plumbers truck, "We Fix what your husband Fixed"
